Commissioned for a single-night performance at the opening of Gallery TPW’s new location in Toronto’s west end. The gallery was one of several to have moved from a more central location to a block of renovated mechanic shops. The migration of contemporary galleries to the area, which had just seen a marathon of condominium developments, marked the next step of its gentrification. The TGM collective had just relocated from that area and its rising rent, and created a series of performative surveys that involved conversations about condominium developments, art galleries, gentrification, and corporate entities. The results of these interactions were quantified into graphs and charts that were created live and projected in the gallery space.
